Equipment bank (Varustepankki) rents camping equipment for groups, companies, and other outdoor enthusiasts.

Our goal is to enable safe and fun multi-day expeditions in the Nordic nature.

We inspect, clean, and maintain the equipment after every use to ensure functional high-quality gear goes out to our customers

We also plan and assist with the logistics of expeditions. Let us know where you want to take your clients, and we’ll help you to run a safe trip.

 Commonly asked questions

  • We will mail the equipment to you using Posti, Matkahuolto or other delivery services depending on the size and weight of the delivery.

    After your expedition use the same boxes to return the gear to us.

    You can also pick up gear from Savonlinna or Kerimäki, or ask for delivery to your address around these to places.

  • Provide us with the dates you are planning to be outside and we’ll make sure that the equipment gets to you 2-3 days before heading out.

    Example: Our trip will take place 10.-14.8.2023

  • We ask our customers to perform a basic clean up of the gear before sending it back to us - such as washing the food scraps out of the pots and taking out trash of the tent pockets.

    You don’t need to deep clean or repair the equipment before sending it back to us. We will take care of that and is part of the service.

    If gear is soaking wet at the end of the trip and you have nowhere to dry it, please contact us before sending it back to ensure the return-mailing fee covers a heavier delivery.

  • It is normal that equipment faces some wear and tear. If equipment is damaged beyond repair we will charge the cost of of a similar, used item.

  • Depending on the size and weight of the delivery and the destination, mailing fees will be around 20-100 euros. The final cost will be defined case by case.
